LOCATION By Air: Major airlines serve the Savannah International Airport, 60 miles south of Coosaw Point, and the Charleston International Airport, about 70 miles to the north. Private aircraft can land at the airport on Hilton Head Island, just 30 miles distant, or at the Beaufort County Airport, located on Lady's Island just six miles from Coosaw Point. By Land: The town of Beaufort is just a few miles east of Interstate 95. From downtown Beaufort, cross over the Beaufort River to Lady's Island and go one mile; turn left at the new Publix Supermarket and follow Highway 802 (Sam's Point Road) 5.5 miles to our entrance. By Water: From the Beaufort Town Docks, follow the Intracoastal Waterway north 8 nm to Flashing Red 4 sec 18 ft Marker "194" or nun "192". From the north, where you enter the Coosaw River at Ashe Island Cut Entrance, FIR 4 sec "184", proceed west 6 nm to "192" or "194". Coosaw Point has almost one mile of riverfront between these two markers. |
